Production Method

- Add 250g of shellac flakes to 1 liter of methylated spirits and allow the shellac flakes to soak for a minimum of 24 hours or until all the shellac flakes have dissolved.

- Stir or shake occasionally to help the shellac flakes to dissolve more easily.

- More shellac flakes or methylated spirits may be added to adjust the strength according to your preference.

- Store in a cool, dry place.

Application and Storage:

- To get a 2 pound cut: add 250gm flake into a Qt. of Denatured Alcohol (190 proof), or 4 oz flake into a pint (16oz) of Denatured Alcohol.Add flake or alcohol to adjust the 'pound cut' working viscosity. Strain through layers of cheese cloth or filter cone.

- Stir or shake occasionally to help the shellac flakes to dissolve more easily.

- Store in a cool, dry place.
