Order Processing & Shipping

All orders are shipped from our New York City location and are processed on Eastern Standard Time.

Orders placed before 2:00 PM EST will ship the same business day.

Canadian Customers

Orders shipping to Canada may be placed online or by phone at 1-415-407-5097.

Customs, duty, and brokerage fees may be assessed at the U.S./Canada border. GildedPlanet.com does not charge, calculate, or control these fees and is not responsible for any customs or brokerage charges incurred.

  • Due to fluctuations in currency and precious metal markets, prices are confirmed at the time the order is placed.
  • Prices are FOB New York.
  • Shipping and insurance are added to the invoice and included in your order total.
Shipping Methods

All shipments are sent fully insured via UPS unless other arrangements are made.

  • Ground Service: 1–7 business days
  • 3 Day Select: 3 business days (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico)
  • 2-Day Air: Delivery in 2 business days (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico)
  • 2-Day Air AM: Delivery before noon in 2 business days (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico)
  • Next Day Air Saver: Delivery in 1 business day (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico)
  • Next Day Air: Delivery before noon in 1 business day (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico)
  • Insurance: $0.35 per $100 of invoice value
  • Saturday delivery is billed at current UPS rates
  • Hazardous materials fee: $10.00 per package
Returns

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase with prior return authorization. Items must be unused and in their original, sealed packaging. Refunds are limited to the cost of the item purchased.

Books and color charts are non-returnable. Unauthorized returns, refused deliveries, or returns without prior approval are subject to a restocking fee, original shipping charges, and return shipping costs. A 5% processing fee applies to all credit card refunds.

Combustible Materials

Combustible and hazardous materials cannot be shipped by air services (Next Day, 2-Day, or 3-Day). Please allow additional transit time for ground shipment of oil-based sizes, varnishes, and similar products.

Winter Shipping

Water-based products susceptible to freeze damage are not shipped during winter months. Examples include Wunda Size, AquaSize, and pre-mixed clays. Customers requesting shipment during potential freeze conditions assume all responsibility for product condition upon delivery.
