Leaf Coverage Calculator
Estimate leaf, adhesive size, Burnish Sealer, and top coat quantities before you order
This calculator estimates the amount of leaf required for a project using your published coverage values as the source of truth. It calculates from square feet, square meters, square inches, width × height, linear feet, or linear inches, then returns recommended quantities for leaf, adhesive size, Burnish Sealer, and top coat sealer.
Leaf is now calculated by selected format path. For example, metal leaf sheets/books/packs and metal leaf rolls are treated separately, and genuine leaf books/packs are treated separately from genuine leaf rolls. The calculator will only return results within the selected path.
Project Calculator
Choose your input method, select the leaf product path and adhesive type, then calculate the recommended quantities.
Linear Mode Note
Use linear feet or linear inches for stripes, borders, bands, and long uninterrupted runs. These modes still use the published product coverage values as the final calculation authority.
Size Path Logic
Books / packs and rolls are calculated separately. If you choose a roll path, the calculator will only return roll products. If you choose a book / pack path, it will only return books and packs.
Adhesive Logic
Adhesives are rounded up using smaller units first, which means a larger total may still output as several smaller units when that is the intended purchasing logic.
Professional Insight
Coverage calculators are most useful when they support the real working conditions of a project. Flat, easy surfaces usually need less overage, while carved, irregular, or interrupted surfaces need more. The calculator helps estimate quantities accurately, but experienced gilders still think in terms of substrate, handling conditions, and margin for error—especially when the project includes curves, interruptions, or detailed edges.
