Loose leaf is traditionally handled with a gilder’s tip (a flat natural-hair brush) for precise placement, clean overlap control, and minimal waste—especially effective on detailed ornament, carved surfaces, and fine restoration work where color brilliance is critical.

Patent Gold (Transfer Leaf) — 18kt Lemon Patent Gold leaf, also called transfer leaf, is mounted to a special tissue paper using a pressure process. Each leaf-and-tissue unit is interleaved with thin rouged paper, so you can remove single sheets cleanly and consistently. Transfer leaf provides added control, making it ideal for larger areas, straight runs, smooth substrates, and applications where consistent color, alignment, and efficient handling are preferred.
